Analysis of the Eco-efficiency of Agriculture in Brazilian Municipalities: Based on the Stochastic-DEA Model
The analysis is based on data provided by the senso agropecuário (2017) - IBGE. In order to measure the eco-efficiency of the 5563 Brazilian municipalities. The variables involved in the analysis are:
𝑥1- Area of establishments (hectares),
𝑥2-Annual expenditure with fuels and lubricants (Thousand Reais),
𝑥3- Annual expenditure with inputs for plant and animal production (Thousand Reais),
𝑥4- Labor employed in the establishments (salaried and family)
𝑥5- Other expenses (Thousand Reais).
𝑦1- Annual gross revenue (Thousand reais)
𝑦2- Area of natural and planted woods and forests in the establishments (hectares)
𝑦3- Annual agricultural sector greenhouse gas emissions (tons
GWP).
𝑦4- Diversity index of Shannon-Weaver, an undesirable output variable.
